No. Creating, hosting and joining games works right in your browser, on a phone, tablet or laptop. The app for iPhone and Android does the same and is coming to the stores soon.
Playing is free and without ads: Olympiad, all minigames, finales and teams. Pro costs €3.99 per week or €29.99 per year (prices in Germany), is only sold in the app and can be cancelled any time in your store settings. The yearly plan comes with a 3-day free trial in the app.
2 to 6 players per room for free, up to 16 if the creator has Pro. Play solo or in 2 to 4 teams, with or without a host.
You play several minigames in a row and there is always a finale at the end. First everyone hands out as many points as minigames will be played. The ones with the most points make it in. Or the game master picks them.
The host doesn’t play but runs the show: sets everything up, reveals answers, awards points and can pause. Without a host the game runs on its own.
No, everything also works on phones alone. A big screen doubles the fun though: open quizzies.de/tv on your TV or laptop and enter the code.
In the app, go to Profile → Pro → “Share Pro” and send an invite link. Up to 2 people then have Pro for as long as your subscription runs.
With the “Family” age level, yes. The regular question database is 16+: cheeky but never explicit. Adult content only exists in custom or AI questions from age-verified accounts.
As little as possible: a name is enough to play, no e-mail needed. No ads, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics. We count page views anonymously and without cookies. Our servers are in Germany.
